AVATAR by SRiebs AVATAR by SRiebs
ARRGH am I ever gonna stop with Avatar??

Well, here it is, a painting I've been working on off and on the past few months. I've put more time into this than any other piece of art I've ever done, literally. The file size is huge, and it doesn't even look good zoomed in all the way, so I'm not putting this up for download.

Feedback is appreciated, I'd really love tips for drawing digitally...: )

Medium: Oils
Time: approx. 30 hours
Program: Painter 12

No! Don't stop with Avatar! Draw her on that weird cat/panther thing!!! It would look amazing!

Sigh...:) I am in love with Neytiri, quite an obsession isn't she lol. Isn't it fabulous to look back on a piece you worked your hardest on! Well worth the efforts! This is soooo gorgeous :)

You captured her likeness extremely well! :la: WOOOWWWW! I can't see anything critical to say about it but if you want tips to progress I guess the next stage would be using some texture brushes for a skin like effect. I don't know XD but AMAZING work! Well done <3

You have captured the wonderful magical quality of an entire scene by emphasizing the luminosity.
The highlights on he edge of the face have been utilized expertly to separate the face from the background. This is an inspiring piece.

I believe we have met, digitally, that is! A friend of mine posted a picture of your sidewalk chalk rendition which is truly stunning! I joined this site four months ago. I will be creating some airbrushed Avatar work to include here in the future. I must upgrade my browser, though! Therese Bur on Face Book
